We are so excited that Maasai Corner High School is finally opened! We remember just over a year ago, walking across the property that was a cornfield and netball court, thinking, “Where is the best place to position a high school?” and wondering if we would be able to raise the funds to build it. We remember Mrs. Dorice saying, “God has been so faithful to us. If He really wants a high school here, it will happen.” We remember praying where the front office doors are now, in just a field, as a group with David, Kim, Dorice, William, Stephen, and Julius, that God would provide.
And wow, God, You did it! You provided exceedingly, abundantly more than we could have ever imagined. We cannot believe that God provided all the funds to build this school in 16 days. God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good. That is His nature—wow!
This is the school that God built, and we want to dedicate it to Him and give Him the glory. What this shows us is that God loves these students and wanted this high school even more than we wanted it. There is something very special about the students at Maasai Corner, and we believe they will change their communities, counties, the nation of Kenya, and ultimately the world someday! David has always said that he wants a president of Kenya to come out of Maasai Corner. As we celebrate the official opening of this school, let’s always remember how much God loves us. We are so grateful and know that Maasai Corner High School will be a beacon of hope and excellence for generations to come. Thank you to everyone that has given to this wonderful project. God bless!
